Barnett hits Marsh for 6

FOOTBALL A six-goal salvo from Gideon Barnett took Maccabi London Lions to within three points of leaders Brady Maccabi A following an 11-3 mauling of Marshside in the Maccabi Masters League.

Barnett was joined on the scoresheet by Danny Reuben (2), Danny Schindler, Darren Dryer and Michael Abraham. Marshside replied through Dave Garson (2) and Mark Davis.

Tim Levene (4) and Mark Wagman (3) eased Brady Maccabi B off the foot of the table as they swapped places with Hendon Harriers after a 7-5 win. Simon Black (2), Jon Nesbit (2) and Andy Diamond replied for Harriers.

A SOLITARY effort from Max Davis was enough to earn Maccabi London Lions U16 White maximum points in their Watford Friendly League clash against Harvesters North.

A man-of-the-match performance from goalkeeper Sam Meisel guided MLL U15 White to a 1-0 win over Harvesters North. Scott Leslie was the scorer. Josh Nathan scored the goal of the game as MLL U14 White crushed Colney Heath Harriers 4-0.

Charlie Gordon, Jacob Hirshler and Luc Levene completed the scoring.

Rafi Chester fired a treble as MLL White U12 beat London Colney Colts Red 4-0. Max Teacher added the gloss.

NWLJ U14 maintained their perfect record in the Spring Shield with Zac Mendelsohn (4) and Noah Schlagman among the scorers in the 9-0 triumph over Alexandra Park West.
