Putin uses money trope during Crimea trip
VLADIMIR PUTIN appeared to use an antisemitic trope to joke about Jews during a visit to Crimea.
Responding to a question from a man who appeared to be Jewish, the Russian President said: “So the Jews have problems with finances. Such a thing could happen only in Crimea”
To laughter from his audience, he concluded his remarks to the man with the words “todah rabah” — Hebrew for “thank you very much”
