University’s hunt for next Mobileye

-

HEBREW University of Jerusalem has announced its plans for Hujitech, a vast high tech park that will become Israel’s largest in a university campus.

The developer that wins the university’s tender will build a vast space of offices, laboratories and space for over 5,000 employees.

“We believe that Hujitech will generate more companies like Mobileye,” says Yishai Fraenkel, the university’s director general, referring to the firm snapped up by chipmaker Intel for €15 billion.

Real estate companies will compete for the contract, which covers marketing the space and managing it for 49 years, with an option to extend for 49 more years.
