A “full immersion” art show in Liverpool uses virtual reality to celebrate the work of Jewish Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani

AN art show celebratin­g the work of one of Italy’s greatest Jewish painters, Amedeo Modigliani, has opened in Liverpool. Running until September 30 at 26 Bold Street, Modigliani Opera is a multi-media exhibition featuring a 360-degree cinema, 4,000 video screens and a virtual reality hub allowing viewers to fully immerse themselves in the work of the Sephardic artist. The show has recently toured major cities in Italy, attracting a diverse audience.
