Legends in the making
TABLE TENNIS ELI Baraty has told the Maccabi GB Table Tennis squad to become legends at the European Maccabi Games in Budapest.
Team manager Baraty has placed an emphasis on youth playing at high local league level, as well as a few nationally ranked players who will give the squad a good chance of bringing home medals.
Baraty said: “The aim, as always, is to have fun and enjoy both the Jewish culture and unity alongside sporting competition.
“Of course we target podium positions and if possible a gold medal. There have been a few Jewish world champions in the past which naturally makes our sport very competitive, so hopefully we will follow in their footsteps and bring back gold for Great Britain.”
