Vale U15s lead the way with season to remember

CRICKET LONDON Maccabi Vale colts were celebratin­g another success after the club’s under-15 team powered through the season with a 100 per cent record, beating Mill Hill Village, Southgate Compton, Botany Bay and Old Elizabetha­ns home and away.

The team was led by captain Jonathan Albert, who scored 194 runs at an average of 64.66 in five matches. He was supported by Sam Feigenbaum and Joseph Davidson, who ensured LMVCC posted scores in excess of 100 when batting first in their 20 overs-a-side matches.

With the consistent high scores posted, the bowlers were able to exert pressure on the opposition. Jacob Caro was

the stand-out performer and leading wicket-taker. He took 10 wickets at an average of 4.20 per wicket, supported by Feigenbaum (5) at an average of 5.20,

Davidson (7) at an average of 6.42 and Nathan Gellman (7) at an average 14.20.

Lewis Dobkin also caught the eye with a superb display of 3-12 against Botany Bay while Albert took five stumpings as wicket-keeper.

LMV chairman Alex Haffner said: “We are particular­ly proud of the U15 team who went through the season unbeaten, a club record which bodes well for the future. Thanks to the hard work put in by our colts managers Tony Wise, Jon Feigenbaum and Danny Caro.” Award
