DEATHS

CUNNICK. Philippa. Saddened at the all too sudden passing of a dear sister, aunt and sister-in-law. Missed and loved by Saul and Marsha with their children and Stephanie Biber.

GOLDMAN. Michael. Dearly beloved husband of Sukie, passed away July 29. He will be sadly missed by his life-long friend Alan.

HOSER. Bertha. At the wonderful age of 98 years my beautiful mummy passed away on July

27. Her legacy of unconditon­al love, caring nature and dignity will be an inspiratio­n for myself, her grandchild­ren and greatgrand­children to follow. She was an elegant lady, who was admired by all who knew her. We were her life and she was ours. Our unique love is embedded in my heart and soul and I will treasure her memory forever. May my wonderful, precious mum rest in eternal peace. She will always be loved and live in our hearts forever.— Tina, Debbie, Kim, Lester, Olivia, Alex and Emmy.

KESSLER. Willie. Passed away peacefully in the early hours of Tuesday morning, July 30. Greatly beloved husband, father, father-inlaw, grandfathe­r, great-grandfathe­r, uncle and cousin. He will be deeply missed by family, friends and colleagues here and overseas.

MORRIS. Anthony. Our muchloved husband, brother and uncle sadly passed away on July 31, 2019, aged 69. He will be remembered for his love of life and strength of character. Will be greatly missed by his wife Mamie, sister Marilyn and family.

PAUL. ôNXÞ[Nā 5K]QN[ L[X]QN[ husband, erstwhile editor of these pages, a man with deep love for the Anglo-Jewish community, and deeply loved by it, passed away on August 4, at the age of 90. He will be missed and remembered by his wife Rachel, children Clare and Joshua, brothers Cecil and Bryan, and by countless others.

STEINFELD. Alida. Deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our very dear cousin on Sunday, July 28. We shall treasure fond memories of the happy times we shared together over the years. Always feisty and independen­t, she will be sadly missed.— Michael, Barbara, Pat, Lawrence, Nick, Lauren, Adam, Fern and Lulu.

TUNKEL. Victor. On July 29, 2019, peacefully at home. Husband of Gillian, father of Daniel and Sarah, father-in-law of Rachel and Ashley and adored grandfathe­r of Hannah, Mollie, Izzie and Jemima. Already missed by family, wide circle of friends, generation of law students, and scholars of Jewish music.

WILKENFELD. Loretta. Heartbreak­ingly passed away on July 31, after a very long illness. The bravest person imaginable. I loved my wife deeply. So did her children, grandchild­ren and the entire family. She was the matriarch of the family. She never allowed her illness to stop her from trying to lead a normal life at all times. She was cheerful, clever and caring. I already miss her very much. Such a pity she could not have been with me longer.— Her ever-loving husband Manny.

WILKENFELD. Loretta. Our beautiful mum and nana, who is now at peace. She fought as hard as she could but in the end it was her time. We know she is watching over us and will be looking after us in our lives ahead. We will never forget her and will love her forever.— Steven, Caroline, Emma, Mike, Jonathan and Katie.

WILKENFELD. Loretta. We are heartbroke­n by the loss of my mummy. I cannot imagine life without her. She was courageous, brave and fought to the end to stay with us. WILKENFELD. Loretta. Passed away on July 31. Such an amazing lady. We in Israel loved her very much and she will be so sadly missed. On those occasions when we were with her, we admired her caring attitude and love.
