Deaths
AARONS. Stanley. Passed away peacefully at home on January 7. Much loved and sadly missed by his wife of 63 years Mignonette, his children Rowland, Beverley and Belinda, his sons-in-law, daughterin-law, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
ANGEL. Sylvia. Dear Sylvia will be greatly missed by all her bridge friends. May she rest in peace. Our sincere condolences to her dear family.
BROOMER. Simon David z’l. Much loved and sadly missed by all his family and friends. October 31, 1960 - January 18, 2021.
DUBELL. Rebecca (Betty). Passed away on January 27, aged 96. Sadly missed by son Melvyn with Clarissa, grandchildren Lauren with John, Josh, Michaela and great-grandson Max. A true West End girl, Betty was always devoted to her family and friends. Her warm smile will remain with us forever.
ELTON. Mildred. Aged 95. Just one week after the passing of Albert, her husband of 71 years. Much loved and deeply missed by sons Philip and Jeffrey with Barbara, sister Greta Littlestone, grandchildren Rachel, Daniel with Nikki, Nick with Naomi, Abbie and Jamie with Sophie Lee, nieces, nephews and cousins. Our indomitable matriarch. Small in stature but a force of nature.
FINE. David. Passed away peacefully at his home in Florida on January 28 (Shevat 15). Will be deeply mourned by Susan, his beloved wife of 56 years. He was always so proud of his three sons and daughters-inlaw Jacqueline and Steven, Nicola and Simon, Emma and Jonathan. He was adored by his precious grandchildren Gemma and Adam, Harry, Becca, Hannah and Dovi, Tali and Zack, Sammy, Benji, Dassi, Freddie and Shoshi and three beautiful great-grandchildren, Shmuel, Rosie and Gigi. May he rest in peace.

NASH. Gerda. Sadly passed away peacefully on January 19. A true lady, who had her family’s wellbeing always at heart, will be greatly missed. Now reunited with my father Walter. Rest in peace Mum.— Robert, Jonathan, Mark, Lauren and great-grandchildren Harrison and Florence.
PARLONS. David BEM. Passed away peacefully on January 27, 2021, aged 80. Much loved and deeply missed by his family, friends and community. An irreplaceable man of many talents and unlimited kindness. Devoted husband to Elizabeth for almost 50 years. Muchloved father to Jeremy, Richard, Alison and Louise. Treasured grandfather to Sophie, William, Daniel, Joshua, James, Emily, Charlotte, Freddie and Abigail. A true mensch who brought a smile to all those he met. He will remain in our hearts forever.

PARLONS. David BEM. The trustees, members and friends of Sandys Row Synagogue, mourn the passing of David, fellow trustree and founder of the daily mincha service. He was a wonderful ambassador for the synagogue and will be sadly missed. We wish his wife and family long life.

PINSKER. Harry. Sadly passed away on Sunday, January 24, aged 90. At last reunited with Ana, his beloved wife of 55 years. Deeply loved and missed by his children Barbara, Sharon and Suzanne, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, family and friends. We were so blessed to have had such a wonderful, kind and brilliant man in our lives. Always in our thoughts and cherished in our hearts forever. May his dear sweet soul rest in peace. Our very own ‘shy family man’.
READ. Susan Ruth. Our beloved Sister, Aunty and Great-Aunty, who left us too soon. Kind and caring, you fought so hard. We shall miss you so much. May you now rest in eternal peace.— Marlene and Nina and families.
SHINE. Lily. Formerly of Netanya and Hampstead Garden Suburb. Sadly died on February 1 (Shevat 19), 2 months shy of her 100th birthday. Devoted and loving wife to the late Chazan Shlomo Shine. A dedicated teacher and former headmistress of the Avigdor. An inspiration to all her family. Reunited with my brother Michael. A true eshet chayil. Forever missed and remembered by her son Jeffrey, her six grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren.
SWIFT. Elizabeth. Passed away January 16, 4 Tevet. Beloved wife of Lionel Swift QC z’l, mother of Allison, mother-in-law of Jeremy, adored Bobba to Zachary, Ariana, Shami, Raphaella, David and Maximillian, loving great-grandma to Ariel and Sony. Yehi zichra baruch.
TAYLOR. Beryl. Died suddenly on January 19, aged 84. Our family matriarch, whose devotion to her beloved husband Leonard was truly inspirational. Sadly missed by her granddaughter Katie, together with Nick, great-grandson Sammy and Jane.
TAYLOR. Beryl. We mourn the passing of Beryl, the beloved matriarch of her family, whose fortitude, loyalty and love will forever remain in our memory.— Linda, Richard, Antonia and Dan.
TUCKER. Shirley (née Silver). Died unexpectedly and peacefully on January 28, 2021, at her home (in a bubble) with her children Barry, Steven and David. Apart from being an unbelievable mother, she achieved much in her life, being for 30 years a Manchester City Councillor , Senior Magistrate, a former Lady Mayor of Manchester, President of the Ladies’ Guild and Governor of Manchester Metropolitan University and most importantly, being an amazing matriarch for the three generations of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a role model for us all.
WAX. Frances Rebecca. Beloved mother of Lesley Fields and Robert Wax, grandmother to Darren and Shelley Fields and Talia, Gilad and Yaron Wax. Passed away in her sleep aged 98 years. She will be forever loved by all.
