ORENSTEIN. Stacey (née Nelken) and Avi are delighted to announce the birth of their son, Freddie Ezra, on February 6, 2021, a brother for Ella and Nina. Mazal tov to grandparen­ts Shmuli and Minkie Orenstein and Barbara and Stephen Nelken, and to great-grandparen­ts Rose Colletts and Jenny Orenstein. Rememberin­g with love, those family members no longer with us.

PETERS. Hannah (née Manson) and Carl are thrilled to announce the birth of a beautiful son, Immanuel (Manni) Kit (Tsvi Menachem) on January 26, 2021. A welcome brother for Golda, a grandson for Avril and Jonny, and Bev and Rod. Rememberin­g loved ones at this happy time.

Deaths

GAMES. Sheila (née Foster). At home, February 12, aged 94. Widow of David; mother to Stephen, Jonty and Alexander; grandmothe­r of Fergus, Edie and Sophie. A Wembley Synagogue stalwart. Music teacher at Yavneh Primary School, 1967-81 and Mayoress of Brent, 1994-95. Admired, respected, loved.

GITTELMON. Betty. We mourn the loss of our dear wife and mum, taken after a cruel illness that she faced bravely. Her infectious laugh, her kindness and her generosity of spirit will never be forgotten. Rest in peace.— Sholom, Shosh, Renee and Jerry (Schurder) Harold (Skitz) and Jacqui, Max and Lisa, grandchild­ren and greatgrand­children.

GITTELMON. Betty. My dear mechutanis­ta. A caring lady, who leaves many happy memories of family times shared. Our thoughts are with son-in-law Max, Sholom, Shosh, Renee and Harold.— Carole, Frank and families.

GOODMAN. Jessica (née Robinson). Died peacefully at home on February 20, aged 56. Impossible to believe her beautiful light, as a beacon of kindness and thoughtful­ness to all who knew her, is no longer shining. We will carry her example in our hearts.— Love always, Paul, Abigail and Sam, mum Blanche, three sisters, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins and wider family, friends, counsellin­g colleagues and, indeed, anyone who ever met her.

HERMAN. Hilda (née Shooster). Sadly passed away on February 20, Shabbat (Adar 8), aged 94. Will be greatly missed by her son Stuart, daughter-in-law Irene, grandsons Ashley and Elliot and her adored great-granddaugh­ters Millie and Rachel. Now at peace with her beloved husband Basil.

PFEFFER. Juliet z’l (née Kann). We deeply mourn the loss of our beloved mother, sister, grandmothe­r and greatgrand­mother (widow of the late Henry Pfeffer z’l), who passed away on February 16, 2021 (Adar 5, 5781). A loving, giving and beautiful person. We will always remember her with love.— Joshua and Michelle Rowe; Beni and Karen Ferber; Alex and Gill Pfeffer (children); Hanni Hirsch (sister); her grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren. She will be greatly missed.

SHAER. Victor. Died peacefully in his chair at home on February 4, 2021, aged 86. Beloved husband of Betty Angèle and father of Joanna and Caroline. His kindness, generosity and sense of humour will be sorely missed. Private funeral at West Herts Crematoriu­m. Donations if desired to the Moorfields Eye Charity.

TAYLOR. Leonard. Passed away February 10, aged 90. Dedicated to family and his business. He bravely fought illness with his late wife, Beryl, by his side. Sadly missed by his granddaugh­ter Katie, together with Nick, great-grandson Sammy and Jane.

TAYLOR. Leonard. We mourn the passing of Leonard, so soon after his beloved wife, Beryl. After 62 years of happy marriage, they now rest in peace together for always.— Linda, Richard, Antonia and Dan.

TAYLOR. Leonard and Beryl. Our darling cousins and true friends. Devoted to each other and now reunited within three weeks of one another. Wishing long life to Mitchell, Ivan and Rosalie.— Carolyn and Michael with Honor, Valentine, Henri and families.

TROBER. Dawn (née Caplan). Passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021. Loving wife of Simon, devoted mum to Josh and Bethany, sister to Jeff, Sonya, Rena and Mick and aunt of Robyn, Ben, Calvin, Zoe and Noa. Our kind and caring Dawnie Woof, you will be sadly missed.

TUCKER. Michael Joseph. Died on February 19, five weeks after wife Shirley. Loved and missed by sons Simon and Ashley, daughter-in-law Nicola, grandchild­ren Kimberley, Rachel and Jonathan and nephew Vaughan.

WOOLF. Jeffrey. Passed away February 21, after a short illness. Deeply missed by wife Valerie, Richard and Julie, Juliette and Andrew, grandchild­ren Natasha and Simon, Adam, Claire, Matthew, family and friends. Always to be remembered with so much love and good memories.
