Lea Glaskie, 103, is vaccinated

MANCHESTER WELFARE charity The Fed has a Pesach present for relatives of residents in its Heathlands complex — a return to in-person visits.

The decision follows residents and staff receiving their second vaccine dose last week. Fed chiefs opted to wait seven days to allow the impact of immunisation to be maximised, resuming physical visits on March 26.

“We will be running pod visits and face-to-face visits and have set up our own lateral flow testing station,” explained chief executive Mark Cunningham. “Not quite drive through but certainly drive up and swab.

“We have developed our own roadmap back to recovery which is in line with government key dates. But so much is dependent upon reducing infection rates and no further outbreaks.”
