HE IS by now no stranger to the Jewish community and its customs. When most of the men donned paper yarmulkas for Grace, recited by the Rev. S. Hass, Prince Philip took out his own black yarmulka. He is also familiar with some of the specific expressions employed by Jewish fund-raising organisations — “What do you call them, schnorrers?”— and he repeated his admiration for the “Wizzokids”, a pun on the fundraising efforts of the Federation of Women Zionists, with whom he became acquainted through his patronage of charitable functions held for the joint benefit of Wizo and his own charity, the National Playing Fields Association.
