Philip in the JC through the years

Prince Philip had a long and happy relationship with the British Jewish community, regularly accepting invitations to events and offering his support to communal initiatives.

That relationship was, uniquely, reported in the pages of the JC over many years. Over the next three pages we present a selection from our historic archives to give a flavour of his contribution — from building openings to dinners and, most remarkably and movingly, his address at Yad Vashem .
