GOOD YOMTOV IN EDGWARE

-

A painting depicting Jewish life in Edgware in the 1970s has been chosen for the annual exhibition of the Royal Society of British Artists taking place 15-24 April, at the Mall Galleries in central London. The artist, Darius Gilmont, who lives in Israel, said: “It shows two of my dad’s fellow shulgoers saying ‘Good YomTov’ in the street, while my grandma watches from behind the curtains, and my dad is eating peanuts. One of my grandma’s friends, Mrs Kuchinsky, still in her shul clothes, is out with her dog.”

Prints are available from the artist’s website, darius-art.com
