Find love on an Israeli beach
THAT BEACH holiday in Israel won’t only help your tan – it just might improve your love life too, say experts.
Lying in the sun increases the attraction people feel for each other, according to University of Tel Aviv researchers.
Their study of 32 men and women found exposure to both natural sunlight and artificial ultra-violet light increased romantic passion. Male subjects also had raised levels of aggression. Ultraviolet light affects the endocrine system, which regulates the release of sexual hormones in the human body.
The findings, published in the journalist Cell Reports, may pave the way for using ultra-violet light to treat sex hormone disorders.
Professor Carmit Levy said: “We’re only beginning to understand what this exposure does to us. It’s only the tip of the iceberg.”
