Pesach extras after oil shortage

- BY JC REPORTER

THE KASHRUT division of the London Beth Din, KLBD, has extended its approved list of kosher for Pesach sunflower oil in the wake of severe shortages because of the war in Ukraine.

It has announced that Taam Tuv (sold in kosher shops), KTC and Pura sunflower oil are all approved for Pesach use without a kosher l’Pesach label or logo.

In addition, 1, 2 and 3-litre bottles of supermarket own brand sunflower oil are also approved if bearing the letter “H” as part of the ink-jetted date code on the neck of the bottle.
