TikTok prankster arrested after he ‘assaulted a Jew’

- BY FELIX POPE

► A TIKTOK prankster has been arrested for assault after he posted a series of videos that appear to show him harassing Jews.

Videos posted by 18-year-old Bacari Ogarro — who is known by the pseudonym “Mizzy” — have received almost two million views on YouTube.

The Londoner has more than 30,000 followers on YouTube and over 57,000 followers on Instagram but has been banned by TikTok.

In one video he can be seen sneaking up behind a young Charedi man as he waits at a bus stop. Ogarro then jumps into the air, places his hands on his victim’s shoulders, and attempts to leapfrog over him.

In another, he can be seen cycling while wearing a hoiche hat and saying, “Guys I’m a f**king Jew.”

In another short clip titled “Who leaves their door open like that”, Ogarro enters the home of a Jewish family. A man wearing a prayer shawl and two children can be seen and the YouTuber wanders down the hallway and glances into the kitchen, before running out. In a video posted to YouTube, Ogarro claims he was held by police for 36 hours “for a TikTok”. During the clip, the teen walks around Stamford Hill, initiates conversations with strangers and repeatedly insists he is not an antisemite. “I don’t discriminate… a lot of videos just in my area f**king around with people. Jewish people, black people, white people.” He went on to claim that two police officers chased him into his house and handcuffed him. He was then arrested for racially aggravated assault, he said, but after 12 hours in custody he was told he was being charged with criminal damage, but not a hate crime.

The next morning he pleaded not guilty to criminal damage, he said. A Met statement said that on Wednesday January 18, an 18-year-old man was arrested for assaulting a member of the Jewish community. The police said: “The man has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.”
