YEAR OF EVENTS TO MARK 1,900TH MILESTONE

A HUGE year is coming up for one of the North East’s most famous historic attraction­s.

Incredibly, it’s 1,900 years since the Roman Army completed the 73 mile-long Hadrian’s Wall, running from Wallsend in the east to Bowness-on-Solway in the west.

For almost the whole entirety of 2022, The Hadrian’s Wall 1900 Festival will mark this epic milestone with events and celebratio­ns along the length of the Wall, with all the biggest events confirmed so far in our guide:
