Not a place for refugees
K LITTLE’S assumption over sending refugees to Rwanda does not take into account the history of the country.
There are two tribes in Rwanda – the Hutus and the Tutsis – and to say they hate each other would be an understatement. Since independence they have ‘butchered’ each other on a regular basis.
Small wonder that the UN would call it a ‘safe haven for refugees’. They are same people who allowed the genocide in the early 90s to happen whilst acting as ‘peacekeepers’.
The country is a ‘time bomb’ and certainly not somewhere to send innocent refugees.
