Shopping trolley yobs are sought

POLICE are investigating an incident in which a shopping trolley was thrown at a moving Metro train.

Services were stopped at 10.30pm on Saturday between Four Lane Ends and Tynemouth after a group of youths threw the trolley from the footbridge at Monkseaton Metro. Anyone with information should call 101, quoting NP-20220501-1120.
