Thousands on the run in city
THOUSANDS of runners took to the streets to take part in the annual Sunderland City Runs.
Yesterday’s events included a 10K, a half marathon, and the Active Sunderland Big 3K, with many of the participants raising money for various charities.
On Saturday, there was also a 5K in the evening which took runners across the Northern Spire Bridge.
Entry for next year’s Sunderland City Runs, which will take place on May 7 2023, is already open.
