Two fighting for their lives after crash
TWO men were yesterday fighting for their lives after a crash in Hetton-le-Hole.
Police were called to North Road after a report of a collision involving a black Skoda Octavia at about 2.30am on Saturday.
Two men were taken to hospital where they remain with serious injuries. Specialist officers are continuing to offer the men’s families support. Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the crash to help their investigation.
Sergeant Craig Bartle, of Northumbria Police, said: “Two men are fighting for their lives as a result of this incident and we are determined to find out exactly what happened.”
