Firms merge to boost commercial offerings

PROPERTY specialist George F White has snapped up Johnson Tucker LLP in a deal to strengthen the combined firms’ commercial service offering.

Newcastle-based George F White, which was launched 43 years ago, has evolved to offer expertise in the commercial, developmen­t, residentia­l and rural sectors, with six offices across County Durham, Northumber­land, Tyneside and North Yorkshire.

It has identified its commercial property team as being a key area for expansion, building on previous recruitmen­ts and investment­s in specialisa­tions in areas such as building surveying and capital taxation.

Formed in Newcastle in 2006, Johnson Tucker LLP specialise­s in chartered surveying and commercial property and is strong in commercial investment and agency and property management. It said its integratio­n will give clients a complement­ary offering.

Joint-founders and partners of Johnson Tucker, David Johnson and Andrew Tucker, will remain with the combined business. Mr Tucker, together with Gary Robinson and Daniel Capobasso, will be partners in the firm while Mr Johnson will be a consultant.

George F White said the blending of skills and expertise will create one of the largest commercial property teams in the North of England, employing more than 100 people.
