Holding out for a hero...
Will you step up and become a Climate Champion?
COULD you be a climate superhero? Join your favourite characters and take some Cartoon Network Climate Champions challenges.
There are lots to choose from and every task you complete will help the planet. You’ll have plenty of fun, too.
The specially designed daily challenges, tested by kids for kids, are crafted to motivate young people to make changes at home, at school and in their local communities, positively impacting the environment.
Challenges include Bag Up Your Bags which inspires kids to craft a plastic bag holder to ensure they are re-used rather than thrown away, and Make it Rain!, encouraging them to take a shower instead of a bath.
To date, over 1.5 million climate challenges have been accepted! Here are a few of our favourites…
VEGGIE DAY
Speak to your parents or guardians and see if you can have a meat-free meal this week and enjoy some delicious veggies.
Did you know that some vegetables are a higher source of protein per calorie than meat?
LIBRARIES RULE
Find your local library and sign up to borrow books instead of buying new.
The more we can reuse instead of buying new things, the better for the planet.
DRAW YOUR OWN EARTH HERO
Why not design your own eco-superhero? Be sure to include their planetfriendly superpowers. Then ask your friends to do the same and create a superhero team focused on saving the planet.
UNPLUG ON SATURDAYS
Can you challenge yourself to only use your electronics for one hour on Saturday? You’ll save energy and find new ways to have fun at the same time.
HAPPY FEET
Feel even better about the difference you’re making to the planet by inventing a dance to celebrate. Dancing helps your body release feel-good endorphins into your bloodstream, making you feel even happier. It’s good exercise too.
STAYCATION TIME
There are loads of amazing places to explore where you live and you don’t need a plane to get there!
Look up some interesting places in your local area that you can get to by walking, cycling or public transport.
ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE
List all of the reasons you’re grateful for the planet and what it provides for you.
Decorate your list and put it somewhere in your room as a reminder to complete more challenges.
