MY SPRITZ FOR ALL SEASONS

My preferred Frédéric Malle fragrance is usually Portrait of a Lady – but this patchouli-laden blend can sometimes feel too much. So I’ve had my head turned by En Passant (£180 for 100ml, fredericmalle.co.uk), a charming breeze of lilac and white musk. It’s usually thought of in terms of a spring day but in my book it’s a year-round burst of hopefulness. This limited-edition bottle makes it even more covetable. Expensive, but it lasts for ages.
