Strike-hit BA awards bosses £3m shares windfall

With little hope of a settlement to the current pay and conditions dispute, BA passengers face a third wave of strikes after Easter – a four-day walkout is planned for after April 14.

A BA spokeswoma­n said last night: ‘Under the Performanc­e Share Plan, our directors are granted a provisiona­l number of shares that they will receive in three years’ time only if certain performanc­e criteria targets are achieved.

‘This plan is in line with most FTSE100 companies and ensures that we are able to attract the best candidates and remain competitiv­e.’
