Bond girl Lea: My scary love scenes with Daniel
FULL INTERVIEW AND EXCLUSIVE C S PICTURES IN YOU, BRITAIN’S LEADING WOMEN’S MAGAZINE
BEING seduced by James Bond might sound like every woman’s fantasy – but the latest Bond girl has confessed that she found the prospect of a love scene with Daniel Craig ‘scary’.
In an exclusive interview with today’s You magazine, French star Lea Seydoux said: ‘Every girl wants to be in a film with Daniel Craig, right? Many are probably jealous I got to film love scenes with him, no?
‘It was scary too, though. I thought, “Will I be good enough? Will people believe in the love story?” But it was much easier than I thought and Daniel was so good with me.’
In Spectre, out on October 26, the 30-year-old plays Dr Madeleine Swann, a psychologist who ‘seduces 007 with her mind’.
When director Sam Mendes offered her the role, Lea thought: ‘Right, I really have to go for it – work on my English accent, do some sport, get fit.’ The Parisienne has previously played a lesbian artist in Blue Is The Warmest Colour and is currently starring opposite Craig’s real-life wife Rachel Weisz in The Lobster.
And she says she would like to appear in more Bond films, telling You: ‘I would love to do another one. Bond is so sexy, because he is the quintessential Englishman, strong and impenetrable.’
