Aguero must put City first, warns Pellegrini

-

MANCHESTER City manager Manuel Pellegrini has urged Sergio Aguero not to play for Argentina next month if he hasn’t fully recovered from a hamstring injury.

Aguero (right) was injured on international duty last week and is out for at least three weeks but Argentina will want him for World Cup matches against Brazil and Colombia. They have only one point from two games.

Pellegrini, angry with Belgium for playing Vincent Kompany last week when he had been out for a month, doesn’t want a repeat with Aguero and said: ‘Kun is an intelligent player and he will decide if he can play or cannot play. He will not take the risk to play if he is not 100 per cent recovered from this muscle injury.

‘I just hope Sergio recovers as soon as he can and that he can be play here before or maybe he’ll not be ready for his national squad either.’
