READING 1 Blackman (76) CHARLTON 0
READING made it six wins out of seven with a hard-earned victory over a stubborn Charlton.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men when centre-back Patrick Bauer was dismissed for a second yellow card, and Reading made the advantage tell when top scorer Nick Blackman (above) nodded in his 10th goal of the season.
Reading boss Steve Clarke said: ‘It was a great header from Nick. I thought his performance from the first minute was one of his best. And it didn’t matter where I put him on the pitch, he was excellent.’
