Eurovision is a lost cause – even for Lucie
You have to admire the performance by the UK’s Lucie Jones at the Eurovision Song Contest, but everyone knows the voting is a stitch-up. We will never win the competition again. J. Barnes, Sussex European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said recently: ‘Slowly but surely English is losing importance in Europe.’ So how come most of the songs at the Eurovision Song Contest were sung in English?
