COLCHESTER picked up their first away win as Sean Murray’s goal ended Yeovil’s unbeaten home record, and manager John McGreal said: ‘We felt as though it had been coming. It’s taken a little bit longer than we expected.’

COVENTRY kept up the pressure on the top three as Duckens Nazon fired the only goal, and manager Mark Robins said: ‘Seven clean sheets is outstandin­g at this stage.’

WYCOMBE made it three wins in seven days thanks to goals from Adebayo Akinfenwa, Josh Umerah and Nick Freeman before Mauro Vilhete pulled one back. ‘It’s been fantastic for the club,’ said manager Gareth Ainsworth.

HALLAM HOPE’S goal won a game of three red cards. Carlisle had Richie Bennett sent off and team-mate Tom Parkes followed him late on, along with Crawley’s Josh Yorwerth.

GOALS from Keshi Anderson and Harry Smith earned Swindon victory over Cambridge, and manager David Flitcroft was delighted with a first clean sheet of the season. He said: ‘It’s a change of mind-set.’

EXETER returned to winning ways in emphatic style. Troy Brown, Jayden Stockley (2) and Dean Moxey got their goals, with Vadaine Oliver scoring Morecambe’s consolatio­n.

GOALS from Danny Newton and Jonathan Smith earned in-form Stevenage a comfortabl­e victory over struggling Port Vale, and delighted manager Darren Sarll said: ‘The culture at the club is absolutely terrific.’

A FINE goal from Seamus Conneely gave Accrington victory but Mark Cooper, manager of bottom club Forest Green, insisted he still has the backing of chairman Dale Vince.

LUTON 3 NEWPORT 1

A FIRST-HALF double from Danny Hylton led Luton to victory. Alan Sheehan’s long-range free-kick had put them in front before Hylton took centre-stage, his second coming from the spot. Joss Labadie replied for Newport.
