Awesome Alexandra’s giant step towards Strictly glory
TOWERING over her professional partner, Alexandra Burke pulled off a risque rumba last night which could see her climb to the top of the Strictly Come Dancing leader board.
The 29-year-old singer is flying high and fast becoming one of the new favourites to take the crown.
The former X Factor winner put on an eyecatching display as she whirled round the dance floor to Beyonce ballad Halo.
And she looked heavenly in a daring sequinned dress which plunged dangerously low at the front and was cut outrageously high on her thighs.
Her partner Gorka Marquez made sure he had plenty of flesh on show by performing with his shirt completely unbuttoned.
In contrast EastEnders star Davood Ghadami was a picture of buttoned-up elegance as he waltzed with Nadiya Bychkova to the song With You I’m Born Again.
His bow tie and tails were a far cry from last week’s alarmingly see-through black top.
Davood failed to excite the judges in the early stages, but his recent run of form means his own chances of victory have, indeed, been born again.
Stand-up comedian Susan Calman provided some of the biggest smiles of the night with a lively American Smooth performed to Beyond The Sea by Bobby Darin, which saw partner Kevin Clifton decked out as a sailor.
