LUKE NORRIS scored the only goal of the game as Swindon won at home in the league for the first time since October to shock automatic promotion contenders Notts County.

WYCOMBE 1 MANSFIELD 2

ALFIE POTTER produced a goal and an assist as Mansfield came from behind to beat promotion rivals Wycombe. Lee Angol fired the winner after Potter had cancelled out Wycombe’s opener from Adebayo Akinfenwa.

CAMBRIDGE 3 CREWE 1

GEORGE MARIS scored after only 34 seconds for Cambridge. David Amoo and Uche Ikpeazu were also on target, while Chris Dagnall replied. Cambridge had Jabo Ibehre sent off late on.

LINCOLN 2 FOREST GREEN 1

LINCOLN ended their glorious 2017 by moving into the automatic promotion places. Matt Rhead hit both goals for the National League champions and FA Cup quarterfin­alists. Christian Doidge replied.

CARLISLE 0 COVENTRY 1

COVENTRY manager Mark Robins was ‘massively proud’ of his team after their win at Carlisle. Marc McNulty grabbed the only goal of the game but also missed from the spot.

PORT VALE 4 LUTON 0

TOM POPE (right) scored twice to help in-form Port Vale stun leaders Luton. They led at half-time through Dan Potts’ own-goal, before Pope’s double sandwiched a Ben Whitfield tap-in to complete the rout. Vale boss Neil Aspin said: ‘When your team plays like that, and shows as much desire, then obviously as a manager you can’t ask for any more. The players deserve a hell of a lot of credit because they have beaten the best team in the division.’

GRIMSBY 0 ACCRINGTON 3

ACCRINGTON picked up their first win in five league games thanks to Billy Kee’s penalty and further goals from Sean McConville and Kayden Jackson, all after the break.

CHELTENHAM 1 NEWPORT 1

MOHAMED EISA earned a point for Cheltenham with a late goal to cancel out Padraig Amond’s opener, and manager Gary Johnson said: ‘I was pleased with the reaction once we conceded.’

EXETER 2 BARNET 1

JAKE TAYLOR struck a superb 90th-minute winner to seal a much needed 2-1 victory. Kane Wilson had put them ahead before Ryan Watson’s fine free-kick for Barnet.

COLCHESTER manager John McGreal was disappoint­ed not to leave Chesterfie­ld with all three points. He said: ‘We had opportunit­ies and got into some fantasic areas but we were wasteful in the final third.’

CRAWLEY 1 STEVENAGE 0

ENZIO BOLDEWIJN earned Crawley only their seventh home league win of 2017 with a first-half goal and they held on despite Josh Payne being shown a straight red card for a late challenge on Alex Samuel.
