Carole Middleton’s £1.5k gift list for Mother’s Day
. . . thank goodness her girls married into money!
COME Mother’s Day, many women will have to make do with cellophane-wrapped flowers from the petrol station or a box of off-brand chocolates from the £1 store.
But Carole Middleton has slightly more elevated tastes – as she has revealed in a wish list of perfect gifts for March 11.
Her daughters, Kate and Pippa, and son James will have to shell out £1,519 if they are to take the hint and get every item on the list, which she disclosed in a magazine column.
Instead of t hose l ast- minute flowers, for example, she suggests an annual subscription from Harrods ‘couture’ florist Neill Strain. To have a small bouquet delivered every month until Mothering Sunday next year costs £1,020 – and that’s the cheapest option. A weekly ‘deluxe’ version comes in at £9,880.
James will have to sell a lot of personalised marshmallows to cover that – but luckily, Kate married into Royalty and Pippa’s hedge fund manager husband James Matthews is worth an estimated £2 billion.
Also on Carole’s list is a £30 box of Rocco chocolates, a £64 bottle of Aurelia Revitalise & Glow Serum, a £75 Marloe London scarf and a £69 personalised silver necklace.
Writing in her column in Baby London, ‘the foremost luxury lifestyle magazine for smart, affluent parents’, Carole also suggests a £96 bangle engraved with the date of a child’s birthday from Whistle & Bango and a £ 35 long- sleeve T- shirt from FMLY emblazoned with the word ‘Mother’.
For newer mums there’s a £130 pink faux leather rucksack from Tiba + Marl, complete with a nappy section and changing mat.
Carole also says that mothers deserve a brunch party with decorations to make it ‘extra special’.
For dutiful sons and daughters wondering where they might possibly be able to purchase such items, she helpfully has a suggestion: her own website, Party Pieces.
