Hodgson: Zaha is staying put

- MATT BARLOW

AFTER another summer linking him with moves to Tottenham and Chelsea, Wilfried Zaha opened his campaign with a goal to have Crystal Palace fans dreaming of watching him play for many more years. ‘We had no interest in selling Wilfried Zaha,’ said Palace boss Roy Hodgson (left) after his side’s win at Fulham. ‘We want him at the club as many years as we can have him.

‘He’s a south London, Crystal Palace player and he knows we really appreciate what he can do for us.

‘Many teams have a player of that type, a player who is a talisman. Pep Guardiola, Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho will have to ask the same question about their Kanes, De Bruynes and Hazards.’
