Deaths of flat plunge cou­ple ‘sus­pi­cious’

THE deaths of two peo­ple who fell from the eighth floor of a block of flats are be­ing treated as sus­pi­cious, po­lice said yes­ter­day.

Re­nata Pon­cova and Tony Tay­lor, both 33, died from mul­ti­ple in­juries af­ter plung­ing from the block in Cam­ber­well, South Lon­don, on Novem­ber 2.

De­tec­tives said yes­ter­day that they had un­cov­ered ev­i­dence at the flat and there were re­ports of a pos­si­ble dis­tur­bance at the prop­erty be­fore they fell. Both Ms Pon­cova and Mr Tay­lor were pro­nounced dead at the scene.

Det Insp Phil Coster said: ‘I need to speak with any­one who wit­nessed the in­ci­dent or saw any­thing sus­pi­cious dur­ing or lead­ing up to the deaths.’
