Sane shows his true colours

-

Leroy Sane was left out of the Germany squad for the World Cup this summer and it was not until Man City’s fifth Premier League game of the season that Pep Guardiola handed the winger his first start of the campaign. But in the seven league games Sane has started since, he has shown both teams what they have been missing.

He may not have found the net against Bournemouth yesterday but he was Man City’s most influential player — setting up one goal and creating the most chances of any player.

29 Only Manchester City team-mate Raheem Sterling (32) has managed more sprints in a single game than Sane completed against Bournemouth.

20 Since the start of last season, Sane has provided more assists in the Premier League than any other player (20).
