COTTAGE CHEESE BEFORE BED WILL BOOST MUSCLES
It may not look appetising, but a small bowl of cottage cheese before bedtime can speed up the body’s muscle repair process while you sleep, according to researchers at Florida State University.
Scientists tested ten active women after a session of exercise and found that those who ate cottage cheese just before sleeping sped up their metabolism and increased their muscle mass when measured the following morning.
Participants were also able to run faster when compared to the previous day’s activity. The scientists found cottage cheese to be just as effective at boosting muscle mass as a protein supplement.
