COTTAGE CHEESE BEFORE BED WILL BOOST MUSCLES

It may not look appetising, but a small bowl of cottage cheese before bedtime can speed up the body’s muscle repair process while you sleep, according to researcher­s at Florida State University.

Scientists tested ten active women after a session of exercise and found that those who ate cottage cheese just before sleeping sped up their metabolism and increased their muscle mass when measured the following morning.

Participan­ts were also able to run faster when compared to the previous day’s activity. The scientists found cottage cheese to be just as effective at boosting muscle mass as a protein supplement.
