McCall: No worries over missing Billy
MARK MCCALL defused any concerns Eddie Jones may have over the fitness of Billy Vunipola after the England No8 was a late omission from his side’s victory over struggling Warriors.
The Sarries boss insisted Vunipola’s three-month absence with a broken left arm will come to an end on Friday night.
McCall said: ‘Billy will play at Sale. There’s no problem.’
Scrum-half Duncan Weir and centre Ben Te’o gave lowly Worcester a surprise 14-0 lead after just a dozen minutes. But tries from Mako Vunipola, Calum Clark and David Strettle, and Owen Farrell’s boot gave the London side an unconvincing win.
Warriors boss Alan Solomons said: ‘We deserved at least a bonus point. I’m proud of the players and the character they showed.’
