Late woe for Wednesday
DAVID JONES’S late own goal gave 10-man West Brom a dramatic point in stoppage time.
Albion, who had striker Jay Rodriguez sent off in the 63rd minute for appearing to stamp on Marco Matias, were heading for defeat after Atdhe Nuhiu had given Wednesday a fifth- minute lead.
But with intervention from Chris Brunt, Jones bundled home a Matt Phillips corner to extend promotionchasing Albion’s unbeaten run to nine games. Nuhiu’s strike was only his second for Wednesday this season.
West Brom boss Darren Moore said the club will appeal Rodriguez’s red card.
‘When I saw it was red I was surprised because Jay’s honest,’ said Moore.
