2 JADED WINGERS

Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane have played 107 games between them in 2018 — Sterling 56, Sane 51. Not surprisingly, both youngsters have looked tired in the last fortnight, Sterling has been substituted by Guardiola and Sane’s first touch has let him down.

3 COPING WITHOUT FERNANDINHO

City missed out on a holding midfielder in the summer when Jorginho chose Chelsea. ‘What can you do if a players does not want to come?’ said Guardiola yesterday. Fernandinho’s injury has been costly with John Stones and Ilkay Gundogan failing to deputise properly in the last two games.
