Kane’s bizarre day — brilliant goal, but not a single touch in the box

-

HARRY KANE looked to have capped the perfect year with a perfect goal — only to see an otherwise memorable 2018 end on a sour note.

England’s Golden Boot winner and now an MBE, Kane had just opened the scoring against Wolves with a screamer from outside the box.

But then it all went wrong for him. He was booked by referee Stuart Attwell for a dive, saw his side concede three goals and, remarkably, failed to manage a single touch of the ball in the opposition penalty area, the first time that has happened this season.

‘It’s a shame because this result ends the year in a bit of disappointment,’ he confessed.

‘We got punished. Games like these at home we should be winning.’
