How the penalty drama unfolded

-

Aleksandar Mitrovic’s late winner earned Fulham a priceless win to spare Aboubakar Kamara’s blushes — and possibly his life, judging by furious Claudio Ranieri’s post-match tirade. Kamara (above, right) incurred the wrath of Mitrovic (above, left), Ranieri (below) and everyone at Craven Cottage for petulantly deciding, against team orders, to take a penalty, which was saved... 1 Joe Bryan crossed from the left and under pressure from Kamara, the ball then bobbled up onto the arm of Erik Durm as he tried to hook it clear. The referee blew for a penalty straight away. 2 Kamara promptly put the ball under his arm, walking away from Mitrovic. The Serb followed him, protesting, and captain Tom Cairney joined in. ‘We had a small argument,’ said Mitrovic afterwards. 3 Eventually Mitrovic conceded and gave his team-mate a good luck pat on the back. Sadly, Kamara’s penalty was a stinker, to the keeper’s left but at a comfortable height and a relatively easy save for Jonas Lossl.
