Some sunshine, mostly dry. However, a narrow band of cloud and rain will move east across the UK. In the afternoon, the West will brighten up with sunny spells, but there will also be scattered showers. These showers, some heavy, will move in to Northern Ireland and West Scotland.

Northern Ireland, Eire: Sunny spells and showers, easing by afternoon. Wind S moderate. Max 12C 54F.

WEEK AHEAD

Bright spells and showers tomorrow. In the North West and North Scotland, these showers will be heavy with the risk of thunder and hail. Similar for Tuesday, but with more widespread cloud. Wetter on Wednesday, some drier, sunnier spells by the end of the week. Temperatur­es will stay mild throughout the week.
