Has Anna found that loving Frieling with Harry’s soldier pal?
SHE has played a Special Forces soldier on screen – and now Anna Friel has grown close to a real-life military tough guy.
The actress has been spotted at her home with divorced Regimental Corporal Major Mark Jaworski, who has previously served alongside Princes William and Harry.
The pair began dating last year. They met at a charity dinner in Windsor, where RCM Jaworski served with the Life Guards Regiment of the Household Cavalry at Combermere Barracks, while William and Harry were members of its Blues and Royals section.
Ms Friel’s spokesman last night insisted that the couple had since parted, but they remained close friends. However, friends of RCM Jaworski, 40, believe they have rekindled their romance in recent weeks.
Four years ago, Ms Friel, 42, played US Special Forces Ser- geant Odelle Ballard in the BBC2 thriller Odyssey.
Shaven- headed RCM Jaworski was recently promoted and now teaches recruits at the Army Training Centre in Pirbright, Surrey. He served with distinction in Iraq and Bosnia and colleagues describe him as a ‘born leader’ with expertise in close-quarters combat and weapons training.
The 6ft 2in soldier, who split from his wife in 2007, is a change from Ms Friel’s previous partners. She was married for nine years to Harry Potter actor David Thewlis, with whom she has a 13-year-old daughter, and later dated Notting Hill star Rhys Ifans. The former Brookside actress, who has also dated singers Darren Day and Robbie Williams, owns a Georgian townhouse near Windsor Great Park.
