TEN-MAN Bury saw their 14-game unbeaten run ended. Kaiyne Woolery struck twice for Swindon and Theo Robinson got the other, while Nicky Maynard got his 20th of the season for Bury, who had Danny Mayor sent off.

NEWPORT boosted their playoff hopes thanks to goals from Robbie Willmott, Ben Kennedy and substitute Keanu MarshBrown, with Tom James pulling one back for Yeovil.

A FINE 20-yard goal in the last minute from Kane Vincent-Young secured a precious win for playoff chasing Colchester, with manager John McGreal saying: ‘We built it up as a big game and the boys responded.’

TRANMERE’S pursuit of automatic promotion continued with a seventh straight league win, thanks to goals from Ollie Banks, James Norwood and Manny Monthe.

CREWE 1 CHELTENHAM 3

BILLY WATERS and Luke Varney hit late goals as Cheltenham came from behind to win at Crewe, who had skipper George Ray sent off. Aaron Taylor-Sinclair had put Crewe ahead before Kevin Dawson levelled.

NOTTS COUNTY lifted themselves off the bottom of the table as Jim O’Brien scored in the first minute, with Kane Hemmings and Enzio Boldewijn also on target.

MANSFIELD kept alive automatic promotion hopes and crushed those of Exeter. CJ Hamilton and Tyler Walker scored two each, one of Walker’s from the spot, with Matt Jay on target for the hsapless home side.

OLDHAM began life after Paul Scholes as caretaker-manager Pete Wild saw them end a sixmatch winless run thanks to goals from Chris O’Grady and Callum Lang.

KIERAN AGARD’S 21st goal of the season and Russell Martin’s late winner kept MK Dons’ automatic promotion ambitions on track, with manager Paul Tisdale saying: ‘We upped our game.’ George Williams pulled one back.

SUB Tom Pope scored a late winner from the spot with his first touch. Sam Hoskins put Northampto­n ahead but David Worrall levelled after Vale had skipper Leon Legge sent off.

A LATE goal from Liam Mandeville saw Morecambe take a giant step closer to safety, but manager Jim Bentley admitted: ‘It was a horrible game to be involved in and I’m glad it is over. It was torture at times.’
