Awarding a Highly Commended di in the hS Sunday d Newspaper N of the Year category, the judges praised the paper’s string of exclusives, such as Meghan’s Dad Staged Photos and Boris’s Suicide Vest Jibe. They also cited our campaigning work in creating a Helpline For Heroes, and investigating the mistreatment of young people with autism.

Other writers to be highly commended were Michael Powell and Ben Ellery in the Scoop of the Year category, for the astonishing revelation that Thomas Markle had colluded with a paparazzo to stage photographs ahead of the Royal Wedding – a story that went around the world. And in Sport, writer Matt Lawton and photographer Andy Hooper were also highly commended for their work.
