Tory adviser’s £2.3m dividend
SIR Lynton Crosby’s consultancy firm handed out £2.3 million in dividends in the year ended June 30, 2018.
Crosby has advised the Conservative Party during the last four General Election campaigns and is thought to have been pivotal in securing a majority for David Cameron in 2015. He also masterminded Boris Johnson’s campaign to become Mayor of London in 2008. Revenues for Crosby’s CT Group in the UK fell 17.6 per cent from £8.7 million to £7.4 million. In Europe, revenues jumped 303 per cent to £3.6million, while Australasian revenues rose 6 per cent to £5.3million. Global profits fell 4 per cent to £4.5 million, partly due to a 67 per cent rise in administrative costs.
The Information Commissioner has launched an inquiry into Crosby’s firm for its alleged role in targeted pro-Brexit adverts on Facebook.
