One For Arthur gives doubters six of best

‘ARTHUR is back’ were the words echoing loudest in the unsaddling enclosure after the Grand National yesterday.

For the connections of One For Arthur, his sixth-placed finish, after rounding the home bend in contention, was just as sweet as his 2017 win.

Since that victory, he had run only twice and unseated on both occasions.

Belinda McClung, one of One For Arthur’s owners, said: ‘It’s like winning it after the season he has had.’

Trainer Lucinda Russell added: ‘That was fantastic. We are so proud. We have all been so emotional and tearful.’
