Adomah blow for Bruce
ASTON VILLA staged a late show to ruin former manager Steve Bruce’s day.
Gary Hooper gave Bruce’s Sheffield Wednesday the lead in the first half, which was cancelled out by John McGinn’s smart finish.
Steven Fletcher missed a penalty for Wednesday after the break and the match looked set to end in stalemate, but Tammy Abraham and substitute Albert Adomah struck in stoppage time.
Bruce said: ‘It is cruel at times, and certainly was today.’
