LINCOLN took another giant step towards promotion as they extended their lead to 11 points with victory at promotion rivals MK Dons. John Akinde’s 17th goal of the season, a first-half penalty, put them on their way, before Bruno Andrade rounded things off in added time.

HALLAM HOPE grabbed a late winner for 10-man Carlisle to inflict a third successive defeat on his former club Bury. Jamie Devitt and Callum O’Hare were also on target, while Mike Jones saw red. Chris Stokes replied twice.
